Where to Stay? IzTech Dormitories: Dormitories are spacious and have a panoramic view of the Aegean. Single (Package 1) or double room (Package 2) options are available. Continental breakfast is served at the central cafeteria facilities. Urla Hotels: Participants who would like to arrange their accommodation may prefer Urla Hotels. Pera Hotel and Hotel Yorgo Seferis will offer 10% and 20% discount for İYTE-MBD2014 participants, respectively. Participants should register to the meeting by selecting Package 3. İzmir Hotels: Participants who would like to arrange their accommodation may select among a number of hotels in İzmir. How to Go? From İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport: By Taxi-Cab; fares are based on distance traveled, Airport – IzTech fare is expected to be around 155 TL. Airport Taxi-Cab Phone: 0 232 274 2075 By Rental Car; you may find rental car companies serving at the airport here. After leaving the airport follow Çeşme signs to take the highway. Once you take the highway, again follow Çeşme signs and take Karaburun exit. Turn left at the first roundabout and follow İYTE signs. You will see the campus on the right side in 2 kms. Your route is shown here on the map. Note that the highway is a tollway, you will need to ask the car rental agent for a car with OGS/HGS toll payment system. By Public Transportation; Take Bus #202 (Airport – Cumhuriyet Meydanı) from airport and get off the bus at F. Altay/Üçkuyular Bus Terminal. Then, you may take either Bus #735 from F. Altay/Üçkuyular Bus Terminal to Balıklıova (get off the bus at IzTech Campus) or Gülbahçe/İYTE Minibus, which takes off from a terminal near the bus terminal. Note that you will need to obtain a Kentkart to access public transportation at the train station in the airport. Alternatively, you may buy a 3-5 Kart from the bus driver after boarding the bus.
